This is a prepaid SIM card exclusively for high-speed data communication on the Rakuten network that can be used for up to 13 months, with one year of use plus the first month free.
In Rakuten network areas, you can use up to 30GB/month of 5G/4G high-speed data communication. After using 30GB/month, your communication speed will slow down to 200kbps, but will return to normal on the 1st of each month.
This SIM card does not support voice calls.
Prepaid SIM card for RAKUTEN mobile line
This product is a prepaid high-speed data SIM card for the RAKUTEN line that can be used for up to 13 months. In the RAKUTEN line area, you can use up to 30GB/month of 5G/4G high-speed data communication. After using 30GB/month, the communication speed will slow down to 200kbps, but will return to normal on the 1st of each month. Voice calls cannot be made with this SIM card.
*For partner lines, you can use up to 3GB of 4G high-speed data communication in partner line areas, but the maximum amount of high-speed data in Japan is 30GB combined for RAKUTEN lines and partner lines. For example, if you use 28GB in a RAKUTEN line area, you can use 2GB in a partner line area. Also, partner lines may become unavailable due to the termination of the roaming agreement between RAKUTEN and partners.
You can use up to 2GB overseas in areas where RAKUTEN lines are available. As of March 2023, it is available in the following 69 countries and regions. In addition, the total data volume overseas is up to 30GB when using RAKUTEN lines, partner lines, and overseas.

For iOS, iOS version 14.5 or later is required, and it is compatible with iPhone 6S to 15ProMax. For Android, a compatible device with Android version 10 or later is required.
- Products purchased overseas or parallel imported products from overseas may be compatible but may not be usable due to differences in frequency and other specifications.
Steps to use
After you receive the product, you can use it by following the steps below (for physical SIM cards)
① Insert the SIM card into the device you are using. It is a multi-cut SIM, so it can accommodate any SIM size. Cut the SIM into the appropriate size and insert it into the SIM card slot of the device.
②The APN will be automatically set for devices that are compatible with the RAKUTEN mobile line. You can use it by rebooting the device with the SIM inserted.
③ APN settings may be required depending on the device. In that case, please set the APN manually. Please check the APN information on the RAKUTEN Mobile official website. (The SIM card may have small scratches due to the activation procedure in advance, but this will not affect use.)

troubleshooting
○ SIM is not recognized
① If the information (APN/profile) of the SIM used previously remains, the new SIM will not be recognized, so please delete the information (APN/profile) of the old SIM. (For iOS, you can delete the old profile from the settings screen by going to Settings > General > Delete Profile (May vary depending on the model) (For Android, you can delete the old profile from the settings screen by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > More Info > Access Point Name > Select the access point name > Select ... in the upper right > Select Discard or Delete (May vary depending on the model) After deleting the information (APN/profile) of the old SIM, you can turn off the device, reinsert the SIM, and restart the device to be able to use it. Depending on the device, you may need to set the APN. In that case, please set the APN manually. Please check the APN information on the RAKUTEN Mobile official website.

①This SIM is provided by RAKUTEN Mobile, so you will generally not be unable to use the indicated capacity. Please note that in the following cases, the capacity may not be displayed when checking the data capacity of the device.
