This great value set includes a prepaid SIM card for high-speed data communication on the Rakuten Mobile line, which can be used for up to 13 months (1 year + first month free), and a mobile WIFI router.
In Rakuten Mobile network areas, you can use up to 30GB of 5G/4G high-speed data communication per month.
After using 30GB/month, your data speed will slow down to 200kbps, but will return to normal on the 1st of each month.
This SIM card does not support voice calls.
Prepaid SIM card using Rakuten Mobile line + mobile WIFI router set
- This is a great value set that includes a prepaid SIM card for high-speed data communication on the Rakuten Mobile line, which can be used for up to 13 months, and a mobile WIFI router.
In Rakuten Mobile network areas, you can use up to 30GB/month of 5G/4G high-speed data communication. After using 30GB/month, the communication speed will slow down to 200kbps, but will return to normal on the 1st of each month. Voice calls cannot be made with this SIM card.
- For partner lines, you can use up to 3GB of 4G high-speed data communication in partner line areas, but the maximum amount of high-speed data available domestically is 30GB combined for Rakuten lines and partner lines.
For example, if you use 28GB in the Rakuten Mobile network area, you can use 2GB in the partner network area. Please note that partner networks may become unavailable due to the termination of the roaming agreement between Rakuten and its partners.
- Regarding use overseas: When overseas, you can use up to 2GB in areas where Rakuten Mobile lines are available.

SMS authentication possible
- Since it has an SMS receiving function, you can easily register apps that require SMS authentication, such as LINE, Instagram, and Uber Eats.
- SMS authentication cannot be performed using the included mobile WIFI router.

- You can enjoy stable communication at the line speeds that only Rakuten Mobile's direct line can provide, without going through an MVNO.

Available devices
- This service can be used on devices that are compatible with the Rakuten Mobile network. Before purchasing, please check whether your device is compatible. For details on compatible models, please see the Rakuten Mobile official website.
- For iOS, iOS version 14.5 or later is required and is compatible with iPhone 6S to 16e. For Android, a compatible device with Android version 10 or later is required.
- Even if the product is compatible, if it was purchased overseas or imported from overseas, it may not be usable due to different specifications such as frequency.
Steps to use
- Once the product arrives, you can use it by following the steps below.
① Insert the SIM card into the device you are using. It is a multi-cut SIM, so it can accommodate any SIM size. Cut the SIM into the appropriate size and insert it into the SIM card slot of the device.
②The APN will be automatically set for devices that are compatible with the Rakuten Mobile network. You can use the service by rebooting the device with the SIM inserted.
3) APN settings may be required depending on the device. In that case, please set the APN manually. Please check the APN information on the Rakuten Mobile official website.

You can extend the usage period
- You can continue to use this product by applying for an extension on your phone number before the expiration date.
You can extend your subscription by following the extension instructions sent via SMS approximately one month before the expiration date, or by purchasing an extension version on this website.
The subscription period is one year, and you can extend it for the following year by completing the renewal procedure.
troubleshooting
- SIM is not recognized except for the attached mobile WIFI router① If the information (APN/profile) of the SIM used previously remains, the new SIM will not be recognized, so please delete the information (APN/profile) of the old SIM. (For iOS, you can delete the old profile from the settings screen by going to Settings > General > Delete profile. This may vary depending on the model.) (For Android, you can delete the old APN from the settings screen by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > More Information > Access Point Name > Select the access point name > Select ... in the upper right > Select Discard or Delete. This may vary depending on the model.) After deleting the information (APN/profile) of the old SIM, you can turn off the device, reinsert the SIM, and restart the device to use it. Depending on the device, APN settings may be required. In that case, please set the APN manually. Please check the APN information on the Rakuten Mobile official website.

- This SIM is provided by Rakuten Mobile, which was unable to use 30GB, so you will generally not be unable to use the indicated capacity. Please note that in the following cases, the capacity may not be displayed when checking the data capacity of the device.

- If you are using a model other than a Rakuten Mobile compatible model where the phone number cannot be confirmed on your smartphone, the phone number may be displayed as "unknown" and you may not be able to confirm the phone number on your smartphone.
